Got a call late last night: a woman had flood in her kitchen and the power had gone off so I told her to turn off her water and I made my way there as quick as I could,believe it or not she had four leaks;one on the main stop cock, one on the isolation valve to the kitchen tap, another on cold feed to the boiler and last but not least one on the waste from the kitchen sink.
I had to brake a hole in the back of the cupboard to get to the pipe on to the boiler, the push fit tee was dripping so I cut it out and fitted a new one. The one on the stop cock gland was loose and just needed tightening up,on the one on the waste they had used a compression fitting and that was loose,after that cleaned up her kitchen and put her power on to the washing machine and dish washer.
Poor woman will need a new sink unit as the water had ruined it.
